The Baptist Church, Kilmington. Activities
We are a diverse family of all ages, and we are keen to love and support families and young people in our community. We are always looking for news ways in which we can invest and care for families. This happens on a Sunday morning, but also midweek too through various activities and groups...

Tummies, Toddlers & Tinies
WEDNESDAYS - 9.15am - 10.45am  (term time only)
A group for expectant mums, toddlers and tinies with their parents/carers. You will find a range of age appropriate toys and activities, fresh coffee and biscuits for the adults, and fresh fruit and healthy snacks for the tinies. The session concludes with a story and song time. A place for parents and carers to find a listening and supportive ear, meet friends, and make new ones. All while their children are having lots of fun!
Suggested donation - £1.
Messy Sparklers
FIRST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH 10.30am - 12.30am   (term time only)
A multi-sensory play environment for pre school children and their parents/carers. Living up to its title we say "please dress for mess" as paint, water, glue and craft will always be a part of the activities. A great space for young people to explore, develop, and have fun. Also a great space for parents and carers to make memories, friends, and find supportive and listening ears.
Lunch and all activities just £2  (additional children £1)
Youth Group
MEETS ONCE A MONTH (third Thursday)
A youth discipleship group for secondary age children. A place to relax, have fun, enjoy activities, and make friends. But this is also an important space to explore faith, talk through real life issues, and go deeper into discipleship. Our meetings are varied, but in the past we have enjoyed beach barbecues, waffles, and recently ran a Youth Alpha.
Sign up for information on our next meeting.

Holiday Club
FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST - 10:00am - 12:45pm daily
Every summer the Beacon transforms as we run a summer holiday club for young people aged 5-11 year olds. It's an amazing week of fun and laughter. There's games, crafts, puppets, drama, snacks, and interactive Bible stories. Each year is a different theme, and it's completely free of charge. The week concludes with a sausage sizzle on Friday where we invite parents and carers to come and watch the young people in action. There is also a massive holiday club celebration on Sunday morning to conclude the week in style.

Sunday Morning Ignite Groups

All our young people come into the 11.00am service initially. We love seeing them worship and have fun, and we seek to engage them and include them while they are with us. We understand that young people sometimes make noise, and move around, and this is perfectly ok. We want both them and their parents/carers to feel at home and comfortable. After about 15 minutes, the young people are invited to leave for their age appropriate groups.
All of our volunteers who work with children and young people have been DBS checked and commit to being trained in safeguarding level 1 and 2 as a minimum.
Creche - Our weekly group for newborns up to 3 year olds. Parents are welcome to stay with their little ones, or to leave them with a member of our friendly team for stories, play, and snacks.

Spark - Our weekly group for 4 to 7 year olds. A chance to play games, enjoy crafts, and learn about the Bible.

Flame - Our weekly group for primary school years 3 to 6 (age 7 to 11 years). A chance to have fun together, enjoy crafts and games, and go deeper into the Bible.

Blaze - Our weekly group for secondary school aged young people. An opportunity for conversation and deeper discipleship. Exploring the Bible and how we apply it to our lives today.
