We are very proud of our purpose built, wheelchair friendly, modern building which is The Beacon and we are always happy to share its facilities with the community and outside groups. The building and / or its rooms are available to hire at very competitive rates, subject to availability and event purpose.  Depending on the type of event, sometimes the hire rates are negotiable, too!
 
The rear hall can open up into a secluded garden area which is safe and secure.
 
There are kitchen facilities that can be used for catering purposes and The Beacon has a good sized car park with 35 car parking spaces.
 
Every hire will be subject to Terms and Conditions which are included with the Hire Application Form and Hire Fees documents.
 
Any hire application will be subject to review and approval by the Church Elders prior to confirmation of the hire.

Room available to hire:

Small Meeting Room  (Room 1)  3.9 x 4.1m
Ideal as a break-out room.

Small Meeting Room  (Room 2)  4.5 x 4.1m
This room will accommodate approx. 12 people boardroom style, more for theatre style.  

​N.B.  Rooms 1 & 2 have double doors between them which can be opened up to make one larger room.

Small Meeting Room  (Room 3)  4.8 x 3.2m
Ideal as a break-out room.

Rear Hall
9.8 x 6.9m
The rear hall will accommodate approx. 50 people theatre style with projection and screen. The hall can be divided up into smaller sections by using the wooden panelled, sound proof sliding doors.  

Worship Area
12 x 12m
An area with seating for up to approx. 120 people with projection and sound (N.B. additional fees may apply for the set up of projection and sound).

Directions & Transport

You will find us at The Baptist Church Kilmington, The Beacon, Whitford Road, Kilmington, Devon. EX13 7RF

There is plenty of free parking at the front of the church with two special disabled spaces right by the main entrance doors.

A bus passes the top of Whitford Road on the main A35 and stops at The Old Inn, only minutes away from the church.

Axminster Train Station (London Waterloo Line) is the nearest train station to the church.  Get in touch if you need to be collected from the station as it’s a bit too far to walk.
