One of the things many people love about Christmas is the music. Whether it be a classic carol, or a pop culture Christmas hit. I’m sure this Christmas will involve us as a church family sharing in some of our favourite Christmas hymns and carols. There’s something about the Christmas season that makes many people want to sing.
Luke’s gospel tell us that the birth of Jesus was preceded and proceeded by some beautiful, powerful, and Holy Spirit inspired songs. Jesus really is the saviour who made the world sing. In this mini advent series we will explore four of the songs that were inspired by the incarnation. Mary’s Song - Luke 1:26-55 Zechariah’s Song - Luke 1:57-79 The Angel’s Song - Luke 2:1-15 Simeon’s Song - Luke 2:22-32
As we explore the radical, history changing, eternity shaking moment when the God of the universe, took on flesh and entered into creation to redeem human kind from the chains of sin and death. My prayer is that our hearts might too sing for the one who brings joy to the world.
